If you desire midwifery-led care, but still want to give birth in the hospital, I am happy to be able to provide support to you. Holistic, educational, midwifery care is for everyone planning to give birth. We will focus on education, go over your options available during your hospital delivery, and help you feel empowered to make informed decisions for yourself and your baby.

What is a monitrice?
A monitrice is a similar to a doula, but they are certified or licensed, which allows them to perform clinical assessments. A monitrice offers continuous labor support, monitoring of the mother and baby's wellbeing during labor, and can assess dilation. She does not offer antibiotics, anti-hemorrhagic medications such as Cytotec or Pitocin, or other medications in pregnancy, labor, or postpartum.
Studies have shown that using a monitrice (or doula) can decrease your chance of cesarean section by 50%, decrease your length of labor by 25%, decrease the chance of labor augmentation, and decrease the chance that you'll request an epidural by 60%.
Using a monitrice can increase your peace of mind, knowing that a trained professional is with you and your partner before heading to the hospital!

Getting your body and your partner's body in optimal health can increase your chances of conceiving and decrease the time it take to conceive. With midwifery-led preconception planning, we will go over holistic ways to support your body and your hormones during your cycle.
